Tent camp
Lejrplads Sjøljan
The accommodation site is open to everyone, both for overnight stays and for cozying up around the fire. Use and stay are free.
The shelters can be booked by organized groups of 15 people or more via the link at the bottom of the page. Here you can also see if the shelters have been booked by others. If the shelters are not booked, the first-come, first-served principle applies.
Booking the shelters means that you have priority for the shelters in particular - not for the entire space, which others are also welcome to use while you are here.
It is good shelter culture to make room for others in the shelter if possible.
If you have booked the shelters and have not taken them into use before 20, the preferential right expires, and others may use them.
You are welcome to set up a tent on the site within the area marked with railings.
You are welcome to light a fire at existing fire places. You must collect wood for the fire in the surrounding forest and scrub. Remember to inform yourself about any burning ban. Put out the fire thoroughly after you so that there are no embers left, or stay until the fire is completely burnt out.
It is not permitted to play loud music or make other noise that disturbs animals and other people. Take trash with you when you leave the site.
There is a primitive toilet by the road, and in the spring of 2025 a water tap will be established.
Parking space: Follow Hammersøvej 2A. You will find a large parking lot at Opalsøen and Hammersø. From here you can walk the 50m to the shelter site, which has the address Hammersøvej 15.
The area is grazed by a herd of calm Galloway cattle, who take care of the nature and keep it open to light. The area around the shelters is fenced off.
