Vendehalsen shelter

The primitive accommodation consists of 1 minishelter with a fire pit and a small bench. It is possible to pitch a few smaller tents within 20 meters of the shelter. There is room for 2-3 overnighters in the shelter.

You must bring water and firewood yourself. It is permitted to collect branches on the forest floor for firewood, but no trees may be felled.

The shelter site must be left clean and all rubbish must be taken out of the forest. Remember to put out the fire before leaving the shelter site.

Since there is no marking from the local forest road to the shelter itself, you have to find it using the GPS points.

If you are using public transport, you can take a train or a bus to Trolledbakkerne station, from where it is a walk of approx. 3 kilometers. If you are driving, you can park at the car park at Valby Hegn, from where it is a walk of approx. 2 kilometers.
