Løvsangeren shelter

The Løvsangeren shelter is located in Store Dyrehave, close to Hillerød. The shelter is a little hidden in some younger growth, which is located in a large old beech stand. Despite being a little hidden, there is a really nice view of the nature and the forest. There will be really nice evening sun at the site. The shelter itself has room for 2 people, maybe 3 if you are a little close. There is a small campfire and a bench on site.

You may collect firewood from the forest floor or bring your own firewood to the campfire. You may spend a maximum of two nights at a small campsite. Book the site through the Nature Agency's booking system. Remember to put out the fire before you leave the campsite, and take your waste out of the forest!

You can find the shelter using the GPS points, as there are no markings from the gravel road in the forest.

You can get here via Hillerød station from where it is a hike of about 3 kilometers. You can also use one of the many forest parking lots in the area, which will be just under a kilometer from the nearest one, the one on Overdrevvejen, to the shelter itself.
