Ræven shelter

The fox shelter is located in Stenholtsvang close to Hillerød. There is room for two people, maybe three if you live a little close. There is a bench and a small fire pit. The shelter is located by a small bog hole, where there is sometimes water. The area is filled with new growth of both birch and oak. The place is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or wheelchair users, as it is difficult to get to the grounds of the vegetation.

You can find the shelter using the GPS points, as there are no markings from the dirt road in the forest.

You can get to the shelter via public transport, by walking from Hillerød station, from where it is approx. 5 to 6 kilometers. You can also take the train to the Palace Pavilion's step board, where there will be a 2 to 3 kilometer hike. You can also park in one of the forest car parks around Stenholtsvang, where the nearest car park is approx. 1.5 kilometers from the shelter.<span class="ql-cursor"></span>
