Flyvestation Værløse, Handikapshelter Herkules

Accommodation shelters equipped with a rail and lift, so that you can be lifted from a wheelchair into the shelter. You must bring your own hoist, lifting bar and lifting sling/harness. Shelter and lift are used at your own risk.

The shelter is located approx. 400 m on an asphalted flat stretch from the car park at Sandet 91, 3500 Værløse.

People in wheelchairs have priority, so if you don't need the disabled facilities, use one of the other two shelters on the campsite.

At the shelter, there is a high fire ring with a swiveling one-handle grill grate and a table-bench set with extra space for wheelchairs at the table ends.

There is gravel around the shelter and fire pit. At the camp site, there is a primitive locum suitable for wheelchairs and a water tap.

You can book priority accommodation in the shelter.

You can stay a maximum of two nights in a row in the shelter.

You are only booking the shelter. Others can also use the facilities and set up a tent on the site. Bookings can be made no earlier than 3 months before the overnight stay.

When booking, you must use the shelter before 20, otherwise your preferential right will lapse.

You can set up individual supplementary tents at the shelter. You must bring your own firewood or barbecue coal.

Motoring into the site is not permitted and permission cannot be applied for.

Leave the space as you yourself wish to meet it.

Follow the instructions on the information sign at the campsite.

The shelter is named after the Norwegian Armed Forces' transport aircraft Herkules, which is still in operation. The Herkules planes have many different tasks in the Armed Forces as well as civilian tasks.
