Shelter
Flydende lejrplads i Møllekrogen
Get a unique overnight experience on Roskilde Fjord to the sound of soft waves. During the summer months, you can sail out onto the fjord and spend the night in this floating bivouac. It is located about 100 meters from the small, cozy harbor, Møllekrogen, at the northern end of the Skjoldungernes Land National Park.
From a distance, the floating campsite just looks like a raft. But out there, you can pull a handle and set up a bivouac out on the water. The raft is firmly anchored at the back, so in wind it will always lie with the bivouac opening in the shelter. The bivouac can accommodate two people, or three if you want to lie close together.
**Booking**
The campsite is set up around April 1st and taken up again around October 15th. It is not possible to use the campsite outside this period. To be sure of being able to stay overnight in the bivouac, you must book an overnight stay in advance. You book at Friluftsguiden.dk, and this is also where you get the code for the lock. The bivouac is locked with a padlock when not in use.
**At your own risk**
Overnight stays with children under 13 years of age are not permitted, and it is recommended to wear a life jacket while on deck. Staying and overnight stays at the floating campsite are at your own risk.
**Facilities**
In Møllekrogen, just 100 meters above the water, you will find parking, toilets and water. This means you don't have to make any arrangements in Roskilde Fjord - we prefer that you sail the short trip ashore.
**Borrow a canoe**
From around May 1 to October 1, there are national park canoes in Møllekrogen that you can borrow free of charge according to the same principle as the summer campsite. Loans are made on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are no canoes available, you can try Gershøj, where there are also canoes at Gershøj Strand.
**Brand new invention**
The floating campsite was developed by National Park Skjoldungernes Land in collaboration with FGU Skibby, and it is the first of its kind.
