Vandsalamanderen Shelter

The shelter is used daily as a base for Frederiksværk School's outdoor education and is reserved for the school's activities every weekday between 8:00 and 17:00. If we are not here, you are of course very welcome to settle down. If you are an institution in the municipality that would like to use the space during the time when it is reserved for Frederiksværk School, you are welcome to call the school and make an appointment on tel.: 4772 1566. During the weekend and on weekdays after 17:00, it is possible for others to book the shelter. There is room for approximately 14 people staying overnight. It is permitted to pitch a couple of small tents. It is not permitted to drive them into the forests to the shelter site. The shelter site must be left tidy, including the campfire site, and all waste must be brought out of the forest. You must bring your own water and firewood. It is permitted to collect branches on the forest floor for firewood. Remember to put out the fire before you leave the shelter site! There is a primitive compost toilet at the site.
