The shelters are architect-designed and made of Danish Douglas fir/larch. Each shelter is approx. 4 metres wide and 3 metres deep, providing ample space for overnight stays and recreation.

At the shelter site there is a **fire pit** that can be used for cooking and socialising. Fires may only be lit at the established fire pit, and applicable rules and any burning bans must always be observed.

A **soil toilet** will also be established at the site. The toilet has not yet been fully installed, and visitors should therefore be aware that there are no toilet facilities at the shelter site for the time being.

The shelter site is located by Skovsøen on the outskirts of Fårvang and offers the opportunity to combine an overnight stay in the open air with stays and trips in the area around the lake.

**Use of the shelter site**

The site is for primitive overnight stays and outdoor activities. Show consideration for nature, wildlife, neighbours and other visitors. Avoid unnecessary noise, and leave the site as you wish to find it.

Waste must be taken with you when leaving the site, and trees and other vegetation must not be damaged. Fires may only be lit at the established fire pit.
