The site is situated in a scenic location in an old gravel pit. There are three shelters around a fire pit with room for 25 people in total. The shelter site is really good for large groups. There is access to a multi-use toilet, but bring your own toilet paper and hand sanitizer. It is permitted to collect wood from the forest floor for use on the campfire. Water can be collected at Koutrupgård, where there is also access to public toilets with showers. It is a short kilometer's walk to Koutrupgård. The site is owned by the Norwegian Nature Agency.
