Hedeskoven

The shelter site is part of the project "from commercial forest to adventure forest". The project is owned by the Naur and Sir parish councils and the purpose is to open the plantation, which is owned by the parish council, to the public. A really nice site has been established in 2024 with a campfire hut for 28 people, 2 shelters with space for approx. 8 people and a toilet. There is no water and electricity at the site. There is water for flushing the toilet. The site is located with a view of the Storådalen. A lookout tower has been built together with the site at a height of 4 meters.

There is a lot of bird life on the site.

Together with the campfire hut and shelters, a marked hiking route has been established from Sir Lyngbjerg/Krunderup to Hedeskoven. A map of the route can be found at Sir Lyngbjerg, Naur Church and at the campfire hut. The route is approximately 20 km round trip. It can be divided starting from Naur Church and then there are approx. 10 km.
