Right behind the large Iron Age shelter site in Lisbjerg, a double cable car leads to Kimbrerdalen – an exciting play landscape built on the edge of an old gravel pit.
When you stand at the campfire site and look further into the forest, with the cable car in your back, you can see the area where you can hang up your hammock and tarp. The area is delimited by four red poles with pictograms. The area has room for 8 people to spend the night in hammocks or tarps that you bring.
**The play landscape includes:**
• A fighting arena with a balance beam
• A watchtower as a counterpart to the shelter site's large Limes tower
• A campfire site with tiered seating
• A multi-climbing arrangement
**Practical information:**
• Bring your own water and firewood.
• If you also want to use one or more of the five shelters on the site, you must book them separately.
• Please note that several of the herbs in the gravel pit are protected. You are welcome to play in the entire area, but it is prohibited to remove the plants from the area.
• Just east of the shelter site itself there is a forest toilet.
**Route directions**: There are several parking spaces along Elevvej, including opposite the house at the address Elevvej 24, 8200 Aarhus. From the parking lot, follow the field road north until a path appears on the right, this leads to the site
