Trædesten Pumpestation Nord, FRI

Trædesten Pumpestation Nord, FRI

The site is located in the Skjern river valley, set back from the Skjern River in the shelter of a willow thicket.

Nearby there is a good system of hiking trails, bike paths and shelters. There is a jetty, which provides good opportunities for launching canoes and kayaks. Out in the delta, the ferries provide access to experiences with the rich bird life that the river delta houses. The area is nature-managed by large herds of cattle, horses, sheep and goats to improve the living conditions for wading and meadow birds in particular. The area houses two nature exhibitions that, among other things, tell about life in the meadows and about life in the stream. In the event of rain and high water levels, the paths along the streams may be impossible to walk on.

There are toilets at Pumpestation Nord 200 meters from the site.

There are NO garbage cans on the site. We expect you to handle your own waste.

There is NO firewood on the site. We expect you to bring any firewood yourself.
