Væksthus Spøttrup

Væksthus Spøttrup is a place of knowledge, inspiration and experience for how natural resources have been used on a homestead farm on a sustainable basis and for daily needs. The greenhouse is run and developed by volunteers. It has the homestead as a historical, contemporary and future focal point for its activities and is closely connected with the activities emanating from Spøttrup Borg.

<span style="color: rgb(28, 43, 51);">Væksthus Spøttrup is an old homestead opposite Spøttrup Borg. It is a place for families, for school classes, for cyclists, for walkers and for those of you who are curious about household life before now and in the future. You can cook in a large kitchen, enjoy your lunch in the outdoor packed house, go exploring in the old homestead garden, watch waders, storks and starlings from the bird tower overlooking Spøttrup lake, take a walk between orchards, vineyards and "kvashegn" ". Watch the bees work among fruit and berries, explore old and new varieties of grains and legumes. There is an old Massey Ferguson and a sandbox for the children, who can also pet rabbits or jump in the hay. There is a lot for school children to learn about biodiversity, sustainable farming, birds, insects and plants and about the many types of cereals and pulses and their uses.
