Sminge kanoteltplads

The canoe tent site is only for boaters on Gudenå. A maximum of 2 nights at the site. There is water, buckets, toilets and a fire pit on the site, and you can cut firewood yourself. Approx. 1500 meters from the tent site is Gjern Bakker, where there are marked tours to the viewpoint Store Troldhøj. From here there is a fantastic view over Gjern Å, Sminge Sø and Gudenådalen. Be considerate of neighbors. Stay in the canoe camp area and do not cross the surrounding fence. The surrounding areas are privately owned, so different traffic rules apply here: Only foot traffic on paths and roads and only between sunrise and sunset. You may not drive to the site by car.

The site is in principle open all year round, but it is only serviced in the high season May - August.
