Junges Plantage shelterplads og shelterhytter

Surrounded by the forest on the edge of Skanderborg Lake, Junges Plantage is a scenic shelter site. The site is suitable for both class trips, but also for those on the road or sea route and looking for a scenic place to spend the night. It is also possible to pitch your own tent on the lawn. There is access to drinking water and a toilet.

There is regular wood on the site, but we cannot guarantee that there will be wood available. If you want to be sure to have firewood for a fire, you must bring it with you. Saws are available at the shelter.

The shelter has two sleeping cabins, each with room for 3 people. There is also a lift for people with disabilities. There is a campfire site in this shelter. This shelter is booked as a whole.

If you want to be sure that you can spend the night in the shelter, it can be booked. You are always welcome to spend the night in your own tent on the site, even if you have not booked. With a booking you have priority access to the booked activity.

There are also 8 shelter cabins with space for 4 people each (ideally 2 adults and 2 children). These are numbered and must be booked separately.

You are only allowed to stay for two nights in a row.

It is free to use the shelter and the associated facilities.

There is also an open campfire site freely accessible to everyone (cannot be booked), and a campfire cabin without sleeping places, which also cannot be booked.

Please note that the toilet and access to drinking water are closed in the period from week 43 to and around May 1.

From the shelter site there is access to a jetty on Skanderborg Lake. There is a lift available at the bridge, so access to and from the lake for people with reduced mobility is possible. There is a kayak jetty at the jetty, where you can easily get kayaks up and into the water. At the end of the jetty there is a kayak hotel with space for 20 kayaks.

Shelters and shelter cabins can be booked at: http://fritidsportalen-skanderborg.kmd.dk/

Please note that you cannot drive all the way down to the shelter site. Parking can be done diagonally opposite Vrold Østergård (Horsensvej 4B, 8660 Skanderborg), from where a path leads to the shelter site. Also find the parking lot here: https://kort.degulesider.dk/m/Z6xo5

People with disability parking cards and schools can contact Skanderborg Municipality and receive a code for the barrier. Write to: [email protected]. Please write in good time, as you cannot expect "same day" delivery.
