Medkær shelterplads

The campsite consists of a grassy area where you can pitch a tent, two large shelters where you can spend the night, a campfire, benches and a table for cooking. There is also a woodshed and a toilet shed. There is no drinking water on the site, but there is a stream right behind the site, where you can get water to put out the fire and possibly for cooking.

The site is run by Thorsager Friluftsliv, whose members have built and maintain the shelters themselves.

The site can be used by everyone, and can be booked by groups from Thorsager or with connections to it. YOU CANNOT DRIVE TO THE SITE BY CAR. You can park your car at the church, where you can also get water. The bus stops at the community center, 1200 meters from the site. It is 1 km to walk or cycle from Thorsager.
