Ørkenarboretet 1

In the former Troldhede lignite deposit, lies the "Desert Arboretum", which was established as experimental plantings to investigate which trees could be used to create forests in former lignite deposits. Today, the desert arboretum is an exciting natural area with many different tree species around "Kulsøen" in the branch at Vonå and Vorgod Å. The shelters are located on the north side of the lake with a good view of the lake.

The shelter was built with support from the A.P. Møller Foundation.
