Alhedestien Shelter

Shelter with space for 3-4 people northeast of Stanghedevej along the paved "Alhedestien" which runs 48 km, of which 42 km is on the old railway line between Viborg and Herning. The route is signposted as "Regional route 21".

On the route you can experience mixed nature from oak forests to heath landscapes, while at the same time you are taken through a number of cozy villages.

The shelter is not bookable and must be used on a first-come, first-served basis.

It is possible to collect water on the opposite side of Stanghedevej at Bøssemageren, at the water tap under the mailbox. Firewood for the fire must be brought from home.

The shelter was built with support from the A.P. Møller Foundation.
