The outermost part of Trelde Næs, 100 ha, is protected and owned by Fredericia Municipality. There is public access to the beautiful natural area, which contains both forest, beautiful coastal cliffs and a good bathing beach. The area is connected to a larger privately owned forest area.

Water and (disabled) toilet at the gable end of the breeding building by the large car park, approx. 1 km from the square. The nature center has access to toilets, but is closed in winter.

There is firewood on the way up the forest road from the breeding building to Trelde Næs south from the large car park. It costs NOK 25 and must be paid to Mobile Pay no. 953318.

Dogs on a leash are allowed.

The nearest shopping option is the Minimarket at the campsite 1.6 km away and Daglig Brugs in Egeskov, approx. 7.4 km from the square.
