Ålbæk Klitplantage - sheltere ved Skovsøen

2 small 4-person shelters are located in the area by Skovsøen in the northern part of Ålbæk Klitplantage, where there is also a large campfire hut, drinking water, dog forest, compost toilet and parking nearby. The North Sea Trail and the local red hiking route pass right by. The shelters are located in the spruce forest west of the campfire hut. They have openings to the east and if you are lucky enough to have the sun shining in the morning, the sun's rays will come down through the trees to the forest floor and the shelters. The shelters cannot be booked, so use is "first come, first served" - move together so there is room for more people. You are welcome to pitch a single small tent right next to the shelters or hang hammocks in the trees. In any case, you are allowed to stay a maximum of 2 nights at the same place.

Fires are not allowed at the shelters - use the campfire site in the campfire hut. Firewood is not laid out, but dry branches are allowed to be collected from the forest floor. You are welcome to use a camping stove or similar at the shelters if it is stable and fireproof – for example on a small plate you bring with you. Keep the site neat and clean and always take your waste with you.

You can park in the parking lot by the dog park on Gårdbovej, just 75 meters away.
