Geotopen - Slettingen primitiv overnatningsplads

The primitive overnight camp in Slettingen in Jyske Ås has been transformed into the art shelter site "Geotopen" according to all the rules of art. The functions are still the same here: shelters, earthen toilet, campfire site, firewood shed, water and benches, but the elements have been rethought - both in functionality and visually. The Danish Arts Foundation has had both architects and artists on the project, who are inspired by the geology and nature of the area.

The shelters can be booked separately (see their own pages) but everyone is welcome to pitch a tent and use the site freely. You can pitch a tent on the grass and on the chipped area by the central campfire site. If the shelters are not booked, they can be used "first come, first served".

The site is located in the protected area of Slettingen in Jyske Ås and the Hærvejen hiking route passes right by - the Hærvejen cycling route passes close by. Finally, take a walk around the area and enjoy the nature and landscape. There are several good viewpoints.

You are not allowed to drive into the site - park in the parking lot at the end of Østermarkvej and walk the last approx. 450 meters.

Firewood is provided but cannot be guaranteed. Use the firewood wisely so that there is also enough for the next ones. Fires must be supervised and extinguished thoroughly.

Keep the site neat and clean and take your waste with you.

Water is only open during the summer months.
