Shelter
Bunken Klitplantage - primitiv overnatningsplads med 2 sheltere
The site is located between a young spruce stand and an old mountain pine stand. There are two shelters - one with space for approx. 6 people and one with space for approx. 8 people, a campfire site, drinking water (summer), a compost toilet and a table and bench set. Firewood is not provided, but dry branches can be collected from the forest floor. Never make a bigger fire than necessary and put out the fire thoroughly after you are done. Help keep the site neat and clean and always take your waste with you. The site cannot be booked - move in together so that there is room for more people. Camping is allowed right around the shelters. The site is adjacent to the West Coast Route (National Cycle Route No. 1). Cars are NOT allowed to enter the site. You can park in the parking lots at Råbjergvej. From Råbjergvej approx. 3 km. west of the road to Skagen, turn onto the forest road heading north (West Coast Route). Follow the West Coast Route approx. 2 km, and find the tent site sign on the right. There is a summer toilet building adjacent to Råbjerg Mile immediately north of the campsite (across the mile). Fantastic sunset from Råbjerg Mile. Small observation tower north of the gravel road.
The shelter was built with support from the A.P. Møller Foundation.
