Præstens Have, Ingstrup
The area, which is approximately 20,000 m2, has been taken over by a group of enthusiasts from the town of Ingstrup,
who in 2023 established an association called “Præstens Have”.
Preserving this large scenic area at the former Ingstrup Rectory is
of crucial importance in order to meet the rapidly increasing need to
accommodate biodiversity and at the same time preserve this unique open space for all living
beings - people, plants and animals, both now and for future generations.
“Præstens Have” gives us precisely this opportunity. It is a green oasis with trees that
are several hundred years old and worth preserving. A natural lake with a drain towards a
bog area - §3 area and a burial mound connected to a path.
Here is a rare place where nature is allowed to unfold at its own pace and
rhythm. It is a place that we want/must cherish extra. The combination of these
elements stimulates our natural curiosity and opens up for exploration, play and
not least inner peace and well-being.
Our goal is to preserve and expand “Præstens Have” as a refuge for
biodiversity and free space for everyone who uses the area.
We want to create good, recreational and educational settings for both the local population,
Ingstrup Trivselsskole’s many students and the many visitors.
The Trivselsskole’s subject-nature and technology already use the area, but what is missing is
a place for learning and immersion.
With these voluntary efforts regarding nature education, focus is placed on the importance of
sustainable development, where we consciously want to inspire and engage everyone in taking responsibility
for our environment.
