Mosbjerg - shelter ved Landbrugsmuseet og Naturpark Tolne-stien

The small 4-person shelter is located close to the Agricultural Museum in Mosbjerg (Vendsyssel Historical Museum) and right on the Tolne Nature Park trail. The area is interesting both geologically, historically and naturally. The shelter is located on a north-facing forest edge up to a sheep-grazed field – so there is a fence (with folding gates) in front and perhaps a brook – but also a view of a varied landscape with burial mounds.

There are no other facilities than just the small bookable shelter and you are not allowed to camp at the shelter. If you have booked, you have priority, but otherwise you are welcome to use the shelter on a “first come, first served” basis. In any case, you are allowed to stay a maximum of 2 nights in the same shelter. No fires are allowed at the shelter, but you are welcome to use a small emergency kitchen if it is stable and fireproof – for example on a small plate you have with you. Keep the place neat and clean and always take your waste with you.

There is a campfire site at the camp school/museum 100 meters away that you are welcome to use and there is also a drinking water tap (during the summer months). Never make a bigger fire than necessary and put the fire out thoroughly after you. There is a toilet during the museum's opening hours. If you have to "go to the toilet" outside of opening hours, dig a small hole in the forest floor for feces and paper and cover it thoroughly after you. You are not allowed to drive into the museum - park in the parking lot at the entrance (to Jerupvej 613) and walk the 300 meters in. Turn right in front of the museum and look for the folding gate in the sheep fence with the pictogram for the Tolne path.
