Shelter
Øster Skerninge Kirke
The Øster Skerninge church shelter was built on the initiative of the Øster Skerninge parish council in a small apple grove next to the cemetery. The shelter is located with an opening to the southwest, where the evening sun sets over the field that the shelter overlooks. The apple grove and shelter are located so that there is peace and quiet for traffic and visitors to the church and cemetery, so you can stay there undisturbed. There is a table/bench set and at the Parish Hall, which is 30 m from the apple grove, there is a toilet, water, electricity and a loaner bicycle. (1½ km for bakery and utility)
Øster Skerninge Church is worth a visit, as it is the only church in Denmark whose interior is whitewashed blue. The church is open during the day.
Our shelters are for peace, enjoyment and rest. As it is located by the church and has neighbours, there is no room for parties and noisy behaviour.
The shelter must be booked here: [www.bookenshelter.dk](https://bookenshelter.dk/fyn/shelterplads/oester-skerninge-kirke/)
