Assens Cable and Water Arena is built where a sugar factory used to be. A large amount of asphalt has been removed and a large lake has been excavated. The soil from the excavation has been laid as a ramp around the lake. It is possible to walk up the ramp and around the lake. A cable car has been built in the lake for water skiing and wakeboarding. From the shelter site there is a good view of activities on the lake. A flat slope up the ramp makes it possible to carry kayaks and SUP up. When the cable car is not running, the lake is an ideal water playground for beginners in water activities.
There are two shelters on the site in the same size. The lying dimensions are 300 cm \* 225 cm. There is a terrace of 300 cm \* 80 cm. 5 - 6 people can sleep in each shelter.
Arena Assens is 300 m from the site. There is an outdoor tap and an indoor toilet. Access indoors is not always possible as the door system is controlled by times for club sports and times with employees in the Arena. During the school summer holidays it is open every day 10.00 - 16.00. During the club sports season (September to mid-December, January to Easter) the doors are open Monday to Thursday until 20.00. On Fridays and weekends there are varying opening hours depending on competitions and other activities. If it is not possible to get into the toilet in Arena Assens, please refer to the toilet in Assens Sejlklub Næsvej 25, 5610 Assens. This toilet is open all year round. There are other toilets closer but these are not open all year round.
Firewood can be purchased at nearby Super Brugsen, Harald Nyborg and Jem og Fix.
There are no waste containers on the site. Waste must be taken with you from the site. There are waste containers at Arena Assens.
Good winds for a good visit to Assens Cable and Water Arena.
With kind regards
