Lejrplads med shelter - Avernakø

Campsite for 15 people, with shelter (5 people) and campfire. There is also a packed lunch house and toilet nearby.

The Danish Nature Agency owns an area of 12 ha on Avernakø, where, in connection with an EU-supported LIFE project, water holes have been built to promote the habitats of the Bell Frog. It has happened successfully and Avernakø now houses one of only 8-9 populations of bell frogs that exist in Denmark.

Most recently, the Nature Agency, in collaboration with Faaborg Midtfyn Municipality, and Geopark det Sydfynske Archipelago, set up a packed lunch house, shelter and toilet on the island. The site is scenic with a view and access to the water.
