The outermost part of Trelde Næs, 100 ha, is protected and owned by Fredericia Municipality. There is public access to the beautiful natural area, which contains both forest, beautiful coastal cliffs and a good bathing beach. The area is connected to a larger privately owned forest area. In the privately owned forests, you may walk and cycle, but only on established forest roads and paths. Water and (disabled) toilet at the gable end of the breeding building at the large car park 300 m from the shelter site. The toilets at the Nature Center are also open all year round, but may be closed in winter if there is a risk of frostbite. There is firewood at the breeding building in the large parking lot (approx. 50 m up the forest path towards Shelterpaldsen Trelde Syd). It costs SEK 25 and must be paid to Mobile Pay no. 953318.
