Øghaven

Øghaven is a large open space surrounded by trees, located in the recently protected Hesbjergkile. Øghaven is located in Hesbjergskoven, which is owned by the Nature Foundation. It is only 15 km from Odense C, so the place can easily be visited by bike or on foot.

The area is really peaceful and scenic, with the opportunity to see the endangered butterfly species "Pearl butterfly". Hesbjerg Forest is the last habitat for it on Funen.

King Knud Division, which is part of the Danish Scout Corps (Blue Scouts), has built 5 shelters on the square in 2024. The shelters consist of a three-winged and 4 single ones, two of which are next to each other. There are fire places in front of all shelters, so that food can be cooked over a fire. In addition, a large fire cabin, rafting area, firewood and activity shed have been built. In addition, there are 3 multi-use toilets, one of which is a disabled toilet.
