Mindelundens shelterplads

The family shelter is located with a view over the fjord and with a view to Stige Ø and the Shelterklyngen, where in the immediate vicinity (50 meters) there is a birdwatching tower which can be used freely. The view of a rich birdlife, exciting from white-tailed eagles, swans and many ducks, cannot be found better. The entire southern part of Odense Fjord with Tårnø, Vigelsø, Stige Ø is complemented by the view of the naturally restored salt marshes on the old shooting range areas. The fauna in the salt marshes includes more than 150 plant species.

The shelter cluster is located between the forest and the salt meadow with grazing beef cattle. The area, which has been a shooting range for 160 years, has been restored to nature with the release of the rare beach toad.

The shelter cluster is suitable for school classes, confirmation students and scouts. In addition, adult groups of up to 25 – 30 people can also book the shelter cluster.
