The shelter site is located in the Fuglsang nature and leisure area, 1 km from the village of Tørresø and all the way to one of Denmark's best bathing waters, the Kattegat. The site has 4 shelters with room for 5 people in each. The nearest shopping opportunities are in Bårdesø, 2 km away.
Fuglsang is a unique nature area, with plenty of opportunities for walks in the nearby natural forest, which is owned by the Norwegian Nature Agency, and where biodiversity enjoys good conditions as the forest is allowed to "take care of itself". The wildlife is extremely rich, from squirrels to deer. These have many good hiding places in the wild fauna. There is a newly constructed path through the forest, so you can walk without getting your clothes ruined by the many blackberry vines.
