Shelter
Shelters i Vig Naturpark
Vig Nature Park is a large nature-inspired recreational area with lots of activity options. Vig Park has been developed and operated by voluntary associations in collaboration with the Municipality over the years. It includes Vig Tuske- and Kræmmermarked, Skønned og Skrald, Vig Familieby and the Handelsforeningen. This has resulted in plantings, paths, bridges, barbecue areas, playgrounds for both children and dogs and viewing platforms and not least a hawker market every Wednesday and Saturday from April to October.
The project is a continuation of work for 'Life in the bog' started by the local bog group. Vig Familieby became the project owner for further development of the initiative and obtained generous funding support from the Nordea Foundation's 'Here we grow the pool' and from the Outdoor Council.
Urban renewal in Vig has also contributed content as a result of citizen involvement and a prioritization of more 'Staying and playing in nature'. You can experience the results on your walk around Vig Nature Park, which now also has several gravel paths, wooden bridges and platforms that bring you close to nature in the bog. In clearings in the forest you can walk your dog in the new dog forest or stop by, grill food and spend the night in shelters close to the lake.
