Saltofte Strand

The shelter site at Saltofte Strand is part of the shelter concept Blue Support Points, where you can spend the night in new modern coastal shelters all around Funen.

The 2-person shelter is right next to the water - and the water is worth jumping in. Assens Municipality's [bathwater control](https://www.assens.dk/vaer-aktiv/ud-i-naturen/strande-og-badevand/ saltofte-strand/) shows that it is at the very top.

The shelter must be booked at [www.bookenshelter.dk](https://bookenshelter.dk/fyn/shelterplads/saltofte-strand/), and it costs DKK 30/person/overnight.

If there is firewood in the firewood shed, you are welcome to use it in limited quantities. It costs DKK 20, which can be paid via MobilePay no. 878 119. Firewood is only laid out occasionally, so if you want to be sure of being able to light a fire, bring your own firewood. Of course, trees and bushes must not be felled or cut on the site.

There is a multi-purpose toilet at the car park 200 m north of the shelter (open 1/5 to 30/9).

South of the square, Sønderby Klint towers 30 m into the sky. The area is geologically interesting, and the special cliff environment also means that there are quite a few rare flowers here.

It is quite deep almost all the way to the cliff - perfect for sea trout.
