Experiences and attractions nearby: The shelter site is connected to the Marskstien – a 54 km hiking route that runs through the entire Tønder marsh. There are 3 Marskhelter pitches with rotatable shelters along the Marskstien. The other two are located in Sønderhaven in Møgeltønder and at Lægan Pump Station. The shelter site is a few minutes' walk from Emmerlev Klev, which is located on the geste. From the cliff you have a fantastic view of the Wadden Sea National Park and UNESCO World Heritage. In the other direction is Højer, where it is possible to buy groceries. In Højer you will also find Højer Mølle – the Gate to Tøndermarsken – with an exhibition about the area's special nature, building customs, history and landscape.
