The Katzentännig trekking site is picturesquely situated on a meadow with a view over the fields to the adjacent forest. Almost complete silence and only rare mobile phone reception make it a place of relaxation. Good conditions for thinking about whether we as humans appreciate such places enough and protect them in an appropriate way. How many natural resources can we actually use? Food, energy, building materials - everything comes from nature.

In terms of the practical implementation of this idea, we were very happy when the scouts from Donnersdorf agreed to build a hut with the simplest of means. The participants were between 8 and 25 years old and built the house with great skill and almost no technical support. The forest kindergarten in Gerolzhofen has left hand and footprints on the small path that leads to the hut. Numerous traces were created with dispersion paint, a brush and a lot of joy.
