Built in 2002, this refuge is located on the "Gespaltenen Stein", the 3rd Grenzangs breakfast place. It was built by the men leaders of the Grenzgang in 1998. They are inspired by the refuge on the Hasenhardt, the breakfast place on the second day of the Grenzgang. The men leaders of the border crossing in 1977 built a shelter there in 1984.

Thomas Cyriax made the construction drawing and the carpentry of the same name carried out the painting and carpentry work. The "eternal leader*" of the men's society Thauwinkel organized the event, Karl Funk (2007).
