Rest hut and lookout tower with a wide view of the meadows, on the new canal between Goldenstädt and Friedrichsmoor, directly on the Lewitz cycle path

Stop and unpack your picnic - nice rest area on both sides of the road between Goldenstädt and Friedrichsmoor, directly on the new canal. A seating area is located right next to a small pond. On the other side of the street, the first thing you see is a weir and a fish ladder that helps fish and other aquatic life to overcome the difference in height. Benches invite you to linger. A bit along the canal and you come to a rest hut next to an ancient oak tree with a view of the wide meadow landscape. A lookout tower on a small hill offers further beautiful views of Germany's largest contiguous meadow landscape.
