Feuerwachturm am Farnberg

The Rennberg near Flaesheim is with 138m above sea level the second highest elevation of the Haard. Near the summit is the Rennberg fire watch tower, which together with the fire watch tower at the Farnberg forms a closed fire watch system in the Haard. It takes 143 steps to reach the viewing platform at 32 meters above the ground. From here you have a great view over the Haard, Flaesheim and the locks at the Wesel-Datteln canal and the southern Münsterland. The best way to reach the fire watch tower is from the Dachsberg hiking parking lot.
