Below the "Jungfernsprung" rock, which owes its name to the following event, the refuge is beautifully situated in the Zinsbachtal. The hut invites you to linger and rest, but also offers adequate protection in the event of sudden bad weather. According to an old legend, a girl from Rautenkranz fled from the soldiers here during the Thirty Years' War. Out of fear, she fell from a rock massif to her death.
