The shelter on the circular part blends idyllically into the landscape. Surrounded by tall trees, it invites you to take a break.

It is on the main path to Valtenberg. The refuge has an outdoor seating area. A table with two benches invites you to linger. In the refuge itself there is also seating with a table.

The nature conservation center built the refuge in 2018, and it was financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the municipality of Neukirch/Lausitz.
